About Maxence

A genuine, hands-on approach to care

After more than 1,500 treatments and over four years of clinical experience, my clinic offers a genuine and thoughtful approach to care. Originally from France and fluent in English, I welcome patients into a professional and comfortable environment in the heart of Marylebone, London.

My training was completed at the European School of Osteopathy (ESO), one of the leading institutions for osteopathic education in the UK. I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) — the statutory body that regulates the practice of osteopathy in the United Kingdom.

Hands-on treatment is provided from the very first session, designed to help you move more freely and feel at your best. Whether you are dealing with back or neck pain, recovering from injury, or managing everyday strain, my approach is centred on thorough assessment, clear communication, and treatment tailored specifically to your needs.

Core Treatments

Expert care, tailored to you

Every treatment begins with a thorough assessment to fully understand your symptoms, lifestyle and medical background. From there, a personalised plan is built around your specific needs.

01

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a regulated healthcare profession requiring a Master's degree and extensive training in anatomy, diagnosis and hands-on treatment — ensuring patient safety and enabling comprehensive care across every stage of life.

Each session begins with a detailed case history, followed by a physical assessment and hands-on treatment using techniques tailored to your needs: joint manipulation, soft tissue therapy, myofascial work, cranial osteopathy, and more. This holistic approach relieves current symptoms and supports long-term resilience and wellbeing.

02

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a regulated, evidence-informed treatment that targets muscle tension and trigger points to relieve pain, improve mobility, and support the body's natural healing. Fine, sterile needles are inserted into tight or overactive muscles — releasing tension and restoring normal movement patterns.

Particularly effective for chronic muscle pain, postural strain, sports injuries, and tension-related headaches. Can be combined with osteopathy in the same session at no extra cost.

Advanced Treatment

Shockwave Therapy

Radial & Focused Shockwave available

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive, evidence-based treatment that uses high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate the body's natural healing processes. It is particularly effective for chronic musculoskeletal conditions that have not responded adequately to manual therapy or physiotherapy alone.

Two forms are available: Radial shockwave, which delivers pressure waves across a broader tissue area, and Focused shockwave, which concentrates energy precisely at a targeted tissue depth for deeper or more localised conditions.

  • Plantar fasciitis & heel pain
  • Tendinopathies (Achilles, rotator cuff, patellar)
  • Calcific shoulder (calcium deposits)
  • Chronic muscle pain & trigger points
  • Tennis & golfer's elbow
  • Hip pain & greater trochanteric syndrome
Optional hands-on component: Shockwave sessions can be combined with manual osteopathic treatment in the same appointment where clinically appropriate, at no extra cost.

Spinal Decompression

IDD Therapy

Intervertebral Differential Dynamics

IDD Therapy (Intervertebral Differential Dynamics) is a leading non-surgical spinal decompression treatment for persistent back and neck pain. Using a computer-controlled device, it gently distracts and mobilises targeted spinal segments — relieving pressure on compressed, bulging or herniated discs.

By reducing intradiscal pressure, the treatment creates conditions for disc material to retract, nerve irritation to ease, and natural tissue repair to occur.

✦ A genuine alternative to spinal injections or surgery
  • Herniated or bulging spinal discs
  • Chronic lower back pain & sciatica
  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Neck pain from cervical disc problems
  • Spinal stenosis (suitable cases)
  • Post-surgical cases (selected patients)
Optional hands-on component: IDD sessions can incorporate manual osteopathic treatment where appropriate, supporting the decompression work and addressing surrounding soft tissue — included at no extra cost.
🏥

I can't recommend Max highly enough. I came to him diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome — incredibly debilitating, chronic pain affecting my day-to-day life. Prior to seeing Max, physiotherapy had made my symptoms even worse. From the first session I felt I was in safe, knowledgeable hands. After several sessions the improvement has been huge — the sensations that were once constant have significantly died down, and I've started enjoying my life again. Incredibly grateful.

His expertise, professionalism, and deeply empathetic approach immediately made me feel safe and well cared for. Today, I move freely and live without the pain that once felt like a permanent part of my life.

Maxence is absolutely brilliant — super knowledgeable, flexible, and really takes the time to tailor the treatment to your individual needs. I felt genuinely heard and cared for, which made such a difference especially coming in for postpartum recovery. I started seeing improvements quickly, which was honestly such a relief. Would definitely recommend.

FAQ

Common questions

Your initial appointment (45 mins) begins with a detailed case history — I'll ask about your symptoms, lifestyle and medical background. A thorough physical assessment follows, and hands-on treatment begins in the same session. I'll explain my findings clearly and outline a personalised treatment plan.
This varies depending on your condition. Acute issues often resolve in 2–4 sessions. Chronic or complex conditions may require more. I'll give you an honest estimate at your first appointment and reassess regularly — I never recommend more sessions than necessary.
Many private health insurers — including AXA, Bupa International, Vitality and Simply Health — cover osteopathy. It is ultimately your responsibility to confirm your entitlement to reimbursement with your insurer before booking. The clinic provides a detailed invoice containing all the information your insurer will need to process a claim — simply forward it to them directly.
Dry needling uses fine, sterile needles inserted into tight muscles to release trigger points and reduce pain. You may feel a brief twitch or dull ache — this is normal and positive. Most patients find it very tolerable and notice significant relief quickly.
Suitability is assessed case-by-case. Shockwave is effective for tendinopathies, calcifications, and chronic conditions not responding to other treatments. IDD suits disc-related back/neck pain, sciatica, and degenerative disc disease. Message me via WhatsApp for a free initial discussion.
Yes — I am a native French speaker and conduct full consultations in French. This is particularly valued by French-speaking patients in London. Oui, je parle français couramment et les consultations sont disponibles entièrement en français.
I am currently building my independent Marylebone practice while working full-time at another clinic. Fridays are currently available at Boston Place, NW1. I plan to expand availability as the practice grows — contact me to be notified when additional days open up.
